The hs38 is the solution for hard limescale deposits in the home. It is designed to protect your heating system, as well as appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines, and to make limescale-stained taps, sinks and bathtubs easier to clean.
Limescale build-up in domestic heating systems can cause blockages, necessitating replacement of equipment, decreasing heating efficiency and thereby increasing costs. Just 0.8 mm of limescale can decrease heating efficiency by as much as 10%*.
Unlike other water softeners on the market, the hs38 does not chemically alter the water or remove minerals. Instead, it applies an electric field so that scale forms in suspension in the water, rather than as a hard encrustation on heating elements and pipe surfaces.
The hs38 fits easily around existing pipework on the cold feed to where the water is heated, for example on the inlet to a hot water cylinder or the inlet to a combination boiler.

Hydroflow units are guaranteed for a period of one year from date of purchase. If the red light does not glow and the water conditioner has not been physically broken through misuse, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge.
The Hydroflow units should be returned direct to the HydroFlow Canada with proof of purchase; any unauthorized attempt to repair the unit will invalidate this guarantee. Your statutory rights are not affected.
WARRANTY - MONEY BACK OFFER
The warranty period with respect to fitness for purpose for Hydroflow units is twelve months from date of purchase. If after a period of more than six months after installation but not later than twelve months after installation the end user demonstrates that the Hydroflow units failed to prevent build-up of encrusting scale, the Company will refund to the merchant the cost of the Hydroflow units. The merchant will reimburse the end user. The money back offer applies only where the Hydroflow units has been installed in accordance with the Company’s recommendations. The Company will not accept responsibility for the build-up of encrusting scale on heating and hot water equipment which has not been installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Under no circumstances will the company accept claims arising out of failure of the Hydroflow unit/s, nor will the company accept any liability for consequential damage caused by the effectiveness and efficiency of the Hydroflow unit/s e.g. where there is the possibility of loose scale particles being allowed to enter the system or process unfiltered. An end users rights are restricted to those set out in the guarantee and the money back offer.
The company will not accept responsibility for water leaks that are revealed by the dissolving of scale. The company will not accept responsibility for any problems resulting from the disconnection of the power supply to the Hydroflow unit. The company accepts that certain types of encrusting scale once formed e.g. those with high concentrations of silicates, sulphates and phosphates, will not quickly be dissolved by the Hydroflow unit. In such cases it is recommended that systems containing such encrusting scale should be chemically cleaned. Once cleaned the system should stay clear thereafter.
The Hydroflow unit/s comply fully with EMC Regulations. However, in the presence of a weak or attenuated signal, interference on radio equipment operating on the long wave band may be experienced.
The Hydroflow Hs38 is working pretty well in general, but for the kettle it wasn't stronger enough.
Seems to have cleared the mineral buildup in the pipes and fawcetts in just a few days.
We have a hard water well which had accumulated a lot of scale and gunk over the years in the plumbing system. Within a week of installation we could observe a lot of debris being dislodged from the pipes when we ran the water, by the second week the debris had stopped and our water is now clearer, not leaving any deposits or debris in the bottom of the sink and bathtub after they've drained.
Wish I had discovered this product much earlier, would have save a lot of clothing from being stained and, no doubt extended the life of our fixtures, washing machine and hot water heater. Best regards, Michel Latour near Montreal Qc.
I was a bit dubious about this product, as I have always used the salt based systems before, but for the price decided it was worth trying. I have been pleasantly surprised - almost immediately soap and detergent produced more suds and after a few days the scale on the bottom of the kettle started to disappear. I doesn’t take the water to “full soft” , but it clearly makes a positive difference.
I would highly recommend this product. Easy to assemble in seconds.
Delivery was quick and it is very easy to install. Original device shipped was faulty (no red light). I emailed HydroFlow and they responded immediately by shipping out a new device with a return package for the failed device. This one has been working great. Very pleased with the customer service.
I can not give this a great review as I purchased the hs38 for the purpose of softening my water. The raw water tested 1400ppm . After using the unit now almost three weeks , I had the water tested again and it came back the same as before. All said , before the unit was installed you could not get a bar of soap to suds. Now it does and the water feels much softer. But why no change in the tests, I don't know.

This is because we condition the minerals to not stick to appliances, skin, hair we don't remove them and or replace them with salt - these water tests only measure level of minerals per litre not their behaviour once our technology acts on them to cause them to cluster and flow naturally with the water versus sticking to pipes etc. Normal softeners remove the minerals and replace them with salt....hence why these tests are done by salt softener sellers to prove thy removed the minerals thats all it shows!
So as you note the minerals are still present - the calcium and magnesium (causes of hard water) both of which you need in your body and are good for you..most people buy these as supplements from Costco.....but now you see the difference in your water as now it lathers up, less staining, and there will be no build up and your appliances will thank you in the long term!

I could see a difference in the glass ware coming from the dishwasher within a few days. They come out crystal clear now.
